Speakers confirmed so far
We are thankful to God for the following speakers who will be investing their time and wisdom during Behold Europe 2024.
Rico Tice is a passionate evangelist, and former Senior Minister of Evangelism at All Souls, Langham Place in London. Co-Founder of Christianity Explored Ministries, he is a regular speaker at missions and evangelistic events around the world, and is the author of two books about understanding the gospel and sharing it with others — Honest Evangelism and Capturing God. Rico’s life’s work is to inspire believers to share their faith in Jesus.
He joined All Souls in 1994, during the later years of the ministry of John Stott, with Richard Bewes as Rector, finding himself in his dream role focused on introducing the gospel to those who come through the doors of the central London church. After 28 years at All Souls, Rico joined Christianity Explored Ministries full time from September 2023. While at All Souls Rico developed the Christianity Explored course, which encourages Christians to open up the Gospel of Mark with their friends and allow Jesus to walk off its pages. Rico saw that Mark’s gospel clearly outlines Jesus’s “Identity, Mission and Call” providing a good understanding of what a life with Jesus looks like.
In Rico’s words:
“I want to spend the rest of my life quite simply helping as many people as possible meet the Lord Jesus as he walks off the pages of Mark’s gospel.”
When not talking to people about Jesus, Rico loves to play and watch rugby. His other hobbies include playing golf and watching films. He’s married to Lucy and they have three young children.
Hélder Favarin is married to Ana and they have four children. He serves as the Global Director of Youth and Young Adult Initiatives for Community Bible Study (a ministry serving in over 110 countries and Bible studies in more than 80 languages). He's an evangelist, missionary and speaks internationally in Portuguese, Spanish and English. He was the co-founding pastor of C29 Granada (Spain).
Hélder has a doctorate in preaching from the Talbot School of Theology and a master's degree in biblical interpretation from the London School of Theology. He's part of the founding teams of RedTimoteo (a program for young evangelists in Spain) and the EYE (European Young Evangelists) Network. He is the author of the book “Expand: Preaching to Both Christians and Non-Christians from the Same Sermon” (available in Spanish and Portuguese) and numerous articles. He has worked for HSBC bank and General Motors, before devoting to full-time evangelistic, missionary and pastoral ministry since his early twenties.
Hélder was born in Brazil and has also lived in Mexico, England, Scotland, Spain and the USA; he holds an Italian nationality as well. He enjoys reading, watching films, playing guitar and soccer (though not at the same time!) and, mostly, spending time with Ana and their children. His website is www.helderfavarin.com
Jamie has been in the restaurant business for the last 20 years. She is an Owner/Operator of two Chick-fil-A restaurants in West Michigan, USA. Chick-fil-A operates an unashamedly Christian business model, and Jamie certainly has a passion for the Gospel. She has served all over the world on Lifeshape trips through Chick-fil-A’s non-profit ministry. Jamie has been a K180 trustee since 2023 and has served with the K180 ministry in multiple European countries with a particular focus on training young leaders for Gospel-centred ministry, and the mentoring of young women as they pursue the call of God on their lives.
